Betty Johnson is known for her expressive voice and accomplished guitar playing. Her performances are emphasized through acoustic jazz, blues and her own songwriting originals. Audiences also love her ambient exploration and re-styling of beloved familiar tunes.

She regularly performs her songs throughout British Columbia and over the year has shared the stage with the likes of Juno-nominate Maria Dunn; Award-winning, Mae Moore; Blues Legend, Ken Hamm; Canadian Roots Artist, David Essig; and Rock Band, Chilliwack. Betty is a veteran participant of the George Ryga Centre, an intensive Songwriters retreat, and was greatly encouraged by legends Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes to "get her stuff out there ... don't hold back! People want to hear your music." There are two words Johnson uses to describe songwriting; "agonizing and amazing!” Lately, Johnson has spent summers at Sorrento’s popular BC Swing Camp - Jazz Camp for adults where she has honed her craft.

Valentines Day Dinner
 

Valentines Day Specials - $70.00 per person

First Course - THE ATTRACTION

  1. Crab Cakes - housemade with snow crab and pan seared till golden brown.
  2. Mussels - in our famous sundried tomato, ginger soy cream sauce.
  3. Scallops - pan seared served with a sweet pea puree’ and pancetta crisps.
  4. Stuffed Portobello Mushroom - loaded with grilled seasonal vegetables topped with cream cheese and parmesan baked to perfection (vegetarian)

Second Course - THE FLIRT

  1. Spinach Salad - Sweet bell peppers , red onions, feta cheese, almonds & pumpkin seeds with vinaigrette.
  2. Caesar Salad - Crisp romaine tossed in our traditional dressing.
  3. Caprese Salad - Fresh seasonal tomatoes, Italian cheese & fresh basil served with balsamic reduction.

Main Course  THE ENCOUNTER

  1. Blackened Wild Salmon - Topped with housemade citrus salsa, basmati rice served with seasonal vegetables.
  2. Osso Bucco- Slow cooked lamb shank in a rich tomato wine sauce served with smoked cheddar polenta and seasonal vegetables.
  3. Baby Back Ribs - fall off the bone tender ribs with Chef Bryan’s Root Beer BBQ sauce,  mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
  4. Italian Flag Cannelloni - Spinach and ricotta cheese stuffed cannelloni with a trio of sauce pesto, marinara and alfredo (green, red and white) (vegetarian)

Dessert - THE AFTERGLO

- includes 2 chocolate covered strawberries

  1. Chocolate Lava Cake - rich and delicious chocolate cake with an ooey gooey chocolate centre
